Help us write the next chapter for Georgia’s birds on this special #GivingTuesday, as we invite you to give or raise $99 in support of our 99th year of protecting Georgia’s birds and the places they need to thrive.
$99 for 99: Shape the Next Century for Birds and share your story
This #GivingTuesday, December 2, we invite you to celebrate 99 years of protecting Georgia’s birds and help shape the next century of song, flight, and wild places. Your gift of $99 (or more) gives birds safe places to nest, sing, and soar, while inspiring the next generation of bird lovers. Every donation carries our mission forward, from the treetops to the classrooms and for generations to come.
#givingTuesday 99 birds for 99 Years Birding Challenge
Our new executive director and lifelong birder, Adam Betuel, is going birding to find 99 species in one day! On December 2, Adam will travel throughout the state in search of 99 birds to launch our #GivingTuesday campaign $99 for 99: Shape the Next Century. Want to be part of the adventure on December 2? Make a donation pledge for every bird Adam can spot. Follow along on Instagram for live updates, cheer him on and drop your guesses in the comments of what birds do you think he’ll spot tomorrow.
Ways to help
|
1. Share Your Story: Give or Raise $99
What bird changed your life? Where did you first hear the song that made you stop and look up? Share your story and invite friends and family to donate $99 in honor of 99 years of Birds Georgia. Start your own fundraising page and rally your community because every story spreads hope, inspires action and protects birds. 2. Double Your Impact: Matching Gifts Many employers match donations dollar for dollar. Organize a match with colleagues, friends, or your local birding group. Matching your $99 amplifies your impact and helps us reach more birds, habitats, and communities faster. |
3. Volunteer: Be Part of the Next 100 Years
Step into the field, plant a garden, or teach the next generation of bird lovers. Volunteering with Birds Georgia lets you see the difference you make firsthand. Protecting birds is about hearts, hands, and habitats working together. Your $99 helps fund projects, such as a native plant garden at a school. That garden becomes the habitat for warblers, teaches dozens of students, and becomes a community gathering spot. |
