Join Georgia Audubon for this private, three-day weekend package, in the midst of fall migration along the Georgia coast. Guests will have the option to join Georgia Audubon's Director of Conservation, Adam Betuel, for daily shorebird and birding excursions, in addition to other recreation options such as beachcombing, fishing, kayaking, biking, naturalist-led activities, or simply relaxing and enjoying autumn on the Georgia coast.
Enjoy meals featuring fruits, vegetables, and herbs from the organic garden, in addition to local seafood and produce. Each evening before dinner, join us for a delightful social hour with drinks and hors d'oeuvres on the Lodge grounds while recounting the day's adventures with the group.
Accommodations during your stay will be one of 16 rooms at The Lodge on Little St. Simons Island, a world-renowned eco-resort destination. Each room can accommodate two guests and will be located in one of the river houses or in the main 1917 hunting lodge, featuring Adirondack-style furniture, central air conditioning and heat, wireless internet, and many other amenities.

The all-inclusive price is $975 per person in a double occupancy room and includes:
Lodging note: A limited number of rooms can be configured with two separate, twin-sized beds. During registration, you will have the option to select a bed configuration preference for your room. Individual travelers without room companions may reserve a private, non-shared room at the double-occupancy rate of $1,950 per room. Please contact Georgia Audubon if you wish to request a private room. Space is limited and will be available first come, first served.

Island Arrival & Departure:
Private charter boat service to and from the island is included and takes approximately 15 minutes each way. The private ferry departs from Hampton River Marina on the north end of St. Simons Island. The Georgia Audubon group will meet at the Hampton River Marina at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 1, for a departure time of no later than 2:30 PM. The group will depart the island on Sunday, October 3, at 11:30 AM.
COVID-19 Safety Protocols:
This trip will require additional precautions for the safety of our staff, island hosts, and participants. Safety precautions may change depending upon CDC and local health department guidance at the time of our travel dates. Currently, all guests must agree to the following:
Cancellation Policy:
If notice of cancellation by the participant is received by July 1, 2021, a refund of all payments made will be given. If notice of cancellation is received between July 2 and August 20, 2021, a 50% refund of the registration fee(s) will be given, unless the space(s) can be filled, in which case a refund of all payments made will be given, less a $50 cancellation fee. Thereafter, all deposits and payments are non-refundable unless the space(s) can be filled, in which case a refund of all payments made will be given, less a $50 cancellation fee. In the event of a trip cancellation due to weather, strike, war, quarantine, or other unforeseen emergency situation, a 100% refund will be given, less any expenses incurred by the tour operator.
Travel Insurance:
We recommend purchasing travel insurance in case you must make an unforeseen trip cancellation past our refund period. Check with your own insurance carrier or consider a travel insurance specialist.

- Guests may be asked to wear face masks in areas where one cannot maintain proper social distancing. These spaces include public areas, ferries, and naturalist trucks.
- Housekeeping services may be limited. The housekeeping team may not enter individual guest rooms after check-in, unless specifically requested.
- If a guest is experiencing a temperature which exceeds 100.4° F or exhibits symptoms such as, but not limited to, coughing, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, you will be unable to travel with us.
